Sonoma wine country weekend

“Fantastic, exclusive event; really special and memorable.” — Kevin Burinescu

“What an amazing and well-organized event! We were blown away and really appreciated the hospitality of our hostesses, Carly and Jesslyn!” — Hovik Abnoosi

For the sixth year in a row, Hyatt Gold Passport members took part in our biggest Hyatt RSVP event of the year by heading to wine country to enjoy a luxurious and exclusive weekend of wine tastings, vineyard tours and fine-food pairings.

Keeping true to tradition, we were set up at the magnificent Hyatt Vineyard Creek in Santa Rosa, known for its attentive staff and impressive accommodations. The perfectly tailored weekend began with our elite members enjoying a sparkling wine reception on the hotel’s outdoor patio before arriving at their VIP experience at Sonoma Starlight, held at Francis Ford Coppola Winery.

General Manager and Director of Winemaking, Corey Beck greeted our members for an intimate tour of the vast vineyards, sampling grapes in their various forms of fermentation along the way. After the tour, members toasted with a glass of Gloria Ferrer sparkling wine and soaked in the views of the breathtaking main vineyard from the East Terrace. At dinner, each table was paired with a winemaker from a different Sonoma County winery, allowing members to learn more about wine pairings, their practices and Sonoma County, as they dined on farm-to-table–style food provided by Pascaline. The day finished off with a magical evening of live music and dancing under the stars.

Saturday began with a visit to Taste of Sonoma at MacMurray Estates Vineyards, featuring wines from more than 200 wineries and pairings from over 60 local chefs. Members were treated with priority entrance to the event, bypassing the long line, and welcomed by Visa Signature staff. Our guests were gifted branded wineglasses, lanyards and complimentary water bottles, as well as access to the Visa Signature Lounge, featuring live music and hors d’oeuvres. We were then invited to join the Kendall-Jackson Food and Wine Pairing experience, complete with preferred entry and seating.

The evening event was held at the magnificent Thomas George Estates, where members experienced a lavish winemaker dinner. As the evening progressed, Vice President Sean Tevik greeted the guests during a sparkling wine reception on the main terrace before personally escorting them around the winery for a VIP winery production tour. Dinner was catered by John Ash & Co. Catering and served in the immaculate wine cave, while Sean spoke between courses to educate guests on the wine process and pairings, ending the night with exquisite food, fine wine and wonderful company.

This year’s exclusive Sonoma Wine Country Weekend was as spectacular as the wine we shared together throughout the trip. A special thanks to everyone who made the event so incredible. We can’t wait to see you all there next year.

October five-year anniversary winemaker dinners

“Excellent event. Everyone from Hyatt, Visa and St. Francis were very personable and had an obvious passion for what they do.” — Brian D.

“Great food, great people and good wine, cannot ask anything better.” — Slim V.

“Open kitchen and interaction with chefs was unexpected and blew us away! Presentation of dishes was thoughtful and beautiful — art on a plate.”
— Hyatt Gold Passport member

Hyatt Gold Passport celebrated the five-year anniversary of the Hyatt Visa Signature® Credit Card with two exclusive winemaker dinner experiences in Chicago and New York. Members in both cities were treated to an enchanting evening of great food, delicious wine and riveting conversation at Chicago’s Grace and Del Posto in New York City.

In Chicago, members dined at one of the city’s only Michelin three-star restaurants, enjoying a specially prepared six-course menu featuring Grace’s acclaimed Progressive American cuisine, brilliantly composed by award-winning chef and owner Curtis Duffy. Each course was paired with premium wines selected from Sonoma Country’s Davis Bynum Winery and Rodney Strong Vineyards.

The subtle elegance of the dining room provided a luxurious yet intimate setting to enjoy dinner and tableside discussions with Chef Duffy about the menu, which featured mouthwatering Osetra Caviar, succulent Alaskan King Crab and savory Miyazaki Beef, and the accompanying wine pairings. Members loved hearing about how the different flavors, ingredients and even textures were carefully selected to create the perfect fusion of taste for each course.

Later, members got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at where the culinary magic happens when they were invited into the kitchen to watch the talented chefs of Grace prepare their famously delicious food. The chefs couldn’t have been more accommodating as members got to explore their kitchen and even sample some of the delectable delicacies straight from tree branches and hot stones!

In New York, members got to be some of the first guests to dine in the newly renovated private room at Del Posto – one of the city’s most acclaimed Italian restaurants and home of Executive Chef Mark Ladner, winner of the 2015 James Beard Award for Best Chef in NYC. Members were transported to Italy the moment they stepped inside and were treated to a welcome reception with wine and passed Assaggi (‘little tastes’ — the Italian version of hors d’oeuvres).

Next, members enjoyed a custom four-course meal that included delicious Lobster alla Caesar with Grilled Romaine and Breadcrumbs Oreganata, Orecchiette with Lamb Neck Ragu, scrumptious Minted Pea and Crispy Morels, and fork-tender NY Strip Steak with Watercress and Potato Chip Salad. Each course was paired with an exquisite wine from St. Francis Winery & Vineyards.

Del Posto Chef de Cuisine Matt Abdoo and St. Francis Winery & Vineyards President Christopher Silva bounced from table to table throughout the evening, entertaining members with their unique perspective on food, wine and crafting the perfect pairing of the two.

With their bellies stuffed, members at both events left with a custom fifth-year anniversary gift to commemorate the special night. Thanks so much to everyone who could attend!

October test drive tesla

Members put the pedal to the metal to help improve the environment.

Tesla Motors recently announced that its first premium electric car, the Model S, has driven one billion miles in just three years. As the company pointed out, that’s the equivalent to about 4,000 trips to the moon, and more importantly, saved about 570,000 tons of CO2 emissions compared with driving an average car over the same distance.

To celebrate this milestone, Hyatt Gold Passport members were invited to test drive and experience the electric car at the Hyatt Regency Austin.

Upon arrival, members got to see how easy the Model S is to charge, how safe it is to drive, and how well the car performs on the road. Members had an amazing time behind the wheel of the groundbreaking automobile.

Thanks to everyone who attended the event and helped get the ball rolling toward two billion miles.

What is love? What’s the value of life? What’s for dinner?

We invited our Hyatt Gold Passport members to ponder these and some of life’s other big questions at Chicago Ideas Week. Members got to hear from some amazing speakers reflecting on love, religion and the value of life.

As a proud sponsor of the annual event, Hyatt gave members complimentary tickets to the Talk, “Life’s Big Questions,” featuring former NBC newsman David Gregory and several other engaging speakers including MSNBC host Alex Wagner and The New Yorker’s Patricia Marx.

Before the Talk, members were treated to a private cocktail reception at Hyatt Centric The Loop Chicago with special guest David Gregory. Members spent the rest of the evening mingling and discussing the many thought-provoking questions that were raised.

Thanks to everyone who came and explored Chicago Ideas Week with us — see you next year!

Sonoma wine country weekend

“The weekend was fantastic and the events were wonderful!” — Hyatt Gold Passport member

“Wonderful event start to finish. My expectations were exceeded. Hyatt staff was wonderful. Mauritson wine dinner and dinner at Francis Ford Coppola Winery were outstanding!” — Hyatt Gold Passport member

For the fifth consecutive year, some of our elite Hyatt Gold Passport members headed to wine country to enjoy our biggest event of the year — the Sonoma Wine Country Weekend. And much like the delicious wine members were treated to, our premier event seems to be only getting better with age.

Once again we gathered at the beautiful Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel &
Spa to spend a lovely weekend enjoying the breathtaking scenery and great company, while of course, experiencing exclusive wine tastings from some of the best vineyards in the country.

The main festivities kicked off with the VIP dinner at Sonoma Starlight at Francis Ford Coppola Winery, where members were first taken on a private vineyard tour by Winemaker Corey Beck. Members were then invited to pick and sample grapes that were going to be selected for the 2015 harvest year.

A multi-course dinner provided by the girl & fig restaurant followed. Each table was paired with a winemaker which allowed members to learn more about the wine pairings. After dinner, members danced the night away under the stars to the musical styling of Pop Fiction.

The fun continued Saturday morning at Taste of Sonoma at MacMurray Ranch, where members got to experience award-winning wines from every region of Sonoma County. Members were greeted and escorted to the front of the line, where they could begin enjoying the hors d’oevres, live music and one-on-one interaction with local winemakers, as well as a Private Sommelier tour that explored Sonoma County’s diverse winemaking styles.

We wrapped things up Saturday evening with a private winery experience and dinner hosted by the Mauritson Family Winery. Winemaker Clay Mauritson and his wife, Carrie Mauritson, welcomed members with a wine reception outside by the vineyard before members were treated to sample fermented wine from the 2015 harvest year and a barrel tour.

Dinner was the true definition of “farm-to-table”, where the produce came from John Ash’s Farm and beef from Clay Mauritson’s father’s farm. Clay Mauritson’s passion carried throughout the entire evening with members raving about the night until the return at the hotel.

All in all, it was a tremendous success and a wonderful time to make new friendships and memories. Thanks to everyone who was able to make the trip such an amazing experience, and we hope to see you there next year!

June pebble beach golf clinic

Hyatt Gold Passport members hit the links at one of the country’s premier golf destinations for the Pebble Beach Golf Academy Clinic. The Academy features internationally renowned golf instructors, state-of-the-art golf-swing technology and cutting edge training facilities — all of which were available to members throughout the event.

The day began bright and early with an exhibition and Q&A with Laird Small, director of the Pebble Beach Golf Academy and PGA Instructor of the Year. Mr. Small spent one-on-one time with each member to understand their individual golfing goals, making sure their training was specifically tailored.

Members spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon with individual instructors, utilizing video analysis, to practice everything from putting and pitching to full swing, before taking in the picturesque coastal views over lunch.

Finally, it was time for members to apply what they learned with a round of golf at the award-winning The Links at Spanish Bay. Between the beautiful greens, natural rugged dunes, and the steady sound of the crashing surf in the distance, it was truly a breathtaking golf experience!

April dinner event

“Great menu and excellent wine with opportunity to hear from both the chef and vintner at a fabulous location made this a very special evening.”
— Hyatt Gold Passport member

“This was one of the best wine dinners we have ever attended.” — Hyatt Gold Passport member

On a beautiful April night, we invited Hyatt Gold Passport members to an unforgettable evening of delicious food and wine at RDG +Bar Annie, a restaurant USA Today recently named one of Houston’s Best Foodie Spots. The conversation flowed as easily as the vino, and everyone had a wonderful evening.

The event began in the bar with a welcome reception that allowed members to get to know each other over glasses of Lynmar 2012 Chardonnay and hors d’oeuvres. Radishes with butter sea salt and chervil were passed throughout the space, alongside crab meat with butter and smoked chile, and BBQ red fish with cilantro sauce appetizers. Guests indulged in fresh fare while mingling through the restaurant, known for its exceptional view of the city.

From there, members were treated to a specially curated culinary experience – a multicourse meal featuring food and wine pairings designed by Executive Chef and owner, Robert Del Grande, and winemaker Lynn Fritz of Sonoma County’s Lynmar Estate.

Locally influenced and purely American, each selection was designed to stun. The first course featured ahi tuna, served in a roasted beet and buttermilk broth, completed with truffles, tarragon and a 2013 Lynmar Pinot Noir.

For the second course guests enjoyed roasted branzino, a hash of heritage ham fennel with dried apples and artisan white grits. For the third, tenderloin of beef, “masquerading as a squab” with salted beef cracklings, juniper and cocoa nibs, and buckwheat groats, paired with a Lynmar 2012 Pinot Noir.

To close it out, members were served a southern classic served with a twist. Plates of Blue Ribbon Chocolate Pound Cake with Rocky Road Sauce and Bourbon Marshmallow topping.

Throughout the dinner, guests were treated to tableside discussions with Chef Del Grande and winemaker Lynn Fritz – just the final touch of a truly remarkable experience.

Keep an eye out for our next Hyatt RSVP event created exclusively for our members. See you there!

April movie screening

We thought there was no better way than to kick off summer with an exclusive advanced screening of the season’s hottest blockbuster, so we invited Hyatt Gold Passport members to the most sought-after ticket in town.

In San Francisco and Chicago, we treated members to advanced showings of the film and to do it in true Hyatt style, we reserved private screening theaters along with concessions. Hundreds of guests enjoyed complimentary popcorn and soft drinks as they marveled at the latest chapter of the popular saga.

Guests stuck around till after the credits rolled to catch a sneak peak of the next installment and chat excitedly about the special experience. As they made their way out, theatergoers were still caught up in the action, picking apart the adventure together. They left the space with an exceptional memory, a few bragging rights and a commemorative movie poster.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event a smashing success.

February winemaker dinner

“It was wonderful and exceeded our expectations in every way. The gifts were unexpected and greatly appreciated. Can’t wait for the next one!” — Jerry K.

“Very nice evening. Nice size group, not too big. Having the chef and vineyard owner talk about the food and wine throughout the evening was a big plus.” — Sanford D.

The latest edition of our acclaimed President Dinner series was held at Bacchanalia; a venue that has been consistently rated as one of Atlanta’s Top 10 Restaurants since opening its doors in 1996. Members delighted in the exclusive atmosphere, exceptional service and extraordinary cuisine.

It was one enchanting evening featuring a five-course sit-down dinner along with countless glasses of vino. And, as the wine was flowing, so was the conversation. Chef Anne Quatrano of Bacchanalia — accompanied by Winemaker Jeremy Baker of Thomas George Estates — hosted an interactive tableside discussion of the many delectable food and wine pairings.

The fun began as members listened to Chef Quatrano speak about the inspiration for her restaurant’s organic concept — her farm that sources most of the ingredients used in her seasonal dishes. Mr. Baker then shared his insights (along with a few laughs) as he walked through the room entertaining the crowd. It was certainly good food, good drinks and good times all around.

Keep an eye out for our next Hyatt RSVP event created exclusively for our members. Cheers from Hyatt Gold Passport!

October aviation adventure

“Thanks guys for organizing such a cool event! Hope to see you at another event soon!” — Hyatt Gold Passport Member

“I really enjoyed last night. Hope to go to something in the future.” — Hyatt Gold Passport Member

We invited our members to come get inspired with us at Chicago Ideas Week. Members got to hear amazing tales from some of the world’s most accomplished and daring explorers, then attend an exclusive meet and greet reception with living legend and philanthropist Amelia Rose Earhart at the Hyatt Magnificent Mile. Earhart is not only named after one of the most well-known women in aviation history, she’s an Aviatrix herself — and President of the Fly with Amelia Foundation.

As a proud sponsor of the event, Hyatt gave members complimentary tickets to the talk “Explorers: The Ends of the Earth,” featuring Earhart and other incredibly accomplished adventurers. The speakers shared amazing stories about going beyond limits to accomplish things they never thought possible — like being the youngest woman to fly around the globe in a single-engine aircraft, capturing images of war firsthand or blasting into space on a NASA shuttle.

At the private reception that followed, Earhart shared behind the scenes stories and videos of her travel adventures. Guests enjoyed signature Gourmet Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches like Earhart’s namesake ate on her flight, accompanied by the featured drink of the night, the Aviatrix.

Members spent the rest of the evening mingling and enjoying each other’s company. The night left us all feeling like anything was possible — all thanks to Amelia and the incredible speakers. Thank you to everyone who came and explored Chicago Ideas Week with us.

October sports event

If there’s one thing we know, it’s that Chicago loves sports. From football to baseball to basketball and hockey — you name it and we love it. That’s why Hyatt RSVP recently gave our elite Hyatt Gold Passport members complimentary tickets to two local games.

Members joined us in the best suite at the rink — complete with food, drinks and delicious dessert to enjoy during the hockey game. They could see everything from center ice — the drama on the ice, the intensity of the players, and the burst of energy when the game went into overtime. As the announcer said, “he shoots and he scores!” and Chicago won the game!

Our football lovers got exclusive access to the field before kickoff to watch their favorite players and team warm up. Then they headed to their reserved seats to get a great view of the game and show their blue and orange pride.

We’re excited to kick off our Hyatt RSVP sports events and show our Chicago pride — and we can’t wait for more. Browse through the photo gallery to see the action-packed events.

October celebrity meet and greet

The latest Hyatt RSVP event was a really big deal. We had our first international event in Dubai and invited members to spend an evening with one of the most popular athletes in the world — Australian Cricket legend Michael Clarke.

He’s the captain for both Test and ODI Australian Cricket teams, and was named the top cricketer of the world in 2013. He’s also well known as a right-handed middle-order batsman, and an occasional left-arm orthodox spin bowler when the moment strikes him.

Over 250 members and VIPs gathered at Park Hyatt Dubai to celebrate Clarke, including the Australian Ambassador to the UAE. The evening featured clips of Clarke’s best matches and his outlook on the cricket world, upcoming test series and the Cricket World Cup next year in Australia and New Zealand.

As it turns out, Clarke is incredibly friendly off the field. Members got to chat with him at a VIP pre-event cocktail hour at Traiteur Bar and throughout the evening. He took the time to take photos with guests and ran a live auction full of exciting prizes. One lucky member won a package to a test series of cricket matches in Australia, complete with round-trip business class airfare for 2 on Qantas, 2 nights at Park Hyatt Sydney and 2 nights at Grand Hyatt Melbourne.

Members also enjoyed an elegant dining experience with an exquisite multi-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Michael Clinton. Guests were served Scottish Smoked Salmon with Egg Chive Dressing, Sour Cream and Caviar for the first course, followed by Pan Roasted Yellow Farm Chicken with Dauphinoise Potatoes, Fine French Beans and Thyme Sauce. And to top it off, guests enjoyed a Chocolate Torte with Coconut Ice Cream and Berry Coulis.

Every guest received an autographed Michael Clarke memento as a takeaway. But after such an incredible evening, who could forget it? Thank you to everyone who attended and made our first international event so special.

Click through the photo gallery to see some of the highlights of the evening.

October winemaker dinner

“It was very well done, the food and wine were fantastic, the other guests were very nice, everything was wonderful!” — Anthony I.

“This was an excellent event. I hope I get invited to more in the future.” — Jeff B.

Hyatt Gold Passport members enjoyed a monumental evening at our latest winemaker dinner — held at Washington, D.C.’s hot spot Mintwood Place.

The restaurant is the talk of the town with local foodies, even serving the President of the United States! Both Mintwood Place and its Chef Cedric Maupillier are James Beard Foundation Award semifinalists. It was the perfect reason for our Hyatt RSVP guests to make their way into the city — to experience the finest French-inspired five-course meal prepared by Chef Maupillier and paired with Inman Family Wines.

The restaurant was completely reserved for this event — so everyone got to mingle and enjoy the intimate setting together. Guests were treated to amazing hors d’oeuvres like Escargot Hush Puppies, Deviled Pickled Quail Eggs, Smoked Salmon Flammekueche, Steak Tartare Crostini, and Goat Cheese Stuffed Shishito Peppers.

The Chef’s first course was Burrata with Kale, Hazelnut, Apple and Tamarind, followed by Lobster Tournedos with Chardonnay and Salicorne Risotto for the second course. Consomme “Poule Au Pot” with Raviole De Royan was served for the third course and Wild Scottish Pigeon à l’Orange rounded out the fourth course. And for dessert, guests enjoyed Chess Pie with Poached Pear.

Kathleen Inman of Inman Family Wines shared her family’s passion for wine by visiting with members throughout the evening, explaining each course’s wine pairing. Each member left with a bottle of Inman Family Wine and a signed menu to commemorate the evening.

Everyone’s combined love for food and wine really showed — and made for a sensational evening. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this delicious culinary adventure.

Sonoma wine country weekend

“Everything was first class. Blown away by the
Saturday evening event.”
— Steve W.

“Very well planned, excellent venue choices, great
food & wine, and ambiance”
— Richard S.

Our biggest event of the year happened again — the Sonoma Wine Country Weekend for our elite Hyatt Gold Passport members!

Everyone came together at Hyatt Vineyard Creek Hotel &
Spa to spend a weekend nestled in the California hills
while experiencing exclusive wine tastings at some of the finest vineyards around. There were some familiar faces — and some new ones, too. One member even came all the way from Nigeria!

Upon their arrival, each guest was pleasantly surprised
with a Hyatt gift bag filled with everything from a picnic
blanket to a phone charger and wine knickknacks for the weekend.

This year, the event started off with a private vineyard tour
at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery, where everyone got
to learn about winemaking while hearing the story of the Coppola family and their experience in American cinema.
It was quite a fascinating tale.

At sunset, members enjoyed an intimate multi-course
dinner on a private terrace under hanging lights. Everyone
got to mingle through the amazing Francis Ford Coppola estate and try wines and desserts from all over Sonoma. There was dancing, live bands and plenty of seating all over for members to relax and enjoy.

The next day, members got to skip the line at the Taste of
Sonoma at the MacMurray Ranch and get in on the fun.
Everyone received exclusive Visa Signature passes so they could explore the hundreds of wineries showcasing their products. It was a beautiful day spent tasting spectacular wine and snacking on delicious food.

Later in the day, the next stop was J Vineyards & Winery.
Members took a sparkling wine class — and even got to
create their own. So whether one prefers it sweet or dry,
there was something for all sparkling wine lovers. And no one left empty handed — J Vineyards gave everyone a bottle of wine to take home.

Members topped off the evening with a decadent multi-course dinner paired with the perfect wines and great live music.

The best part of the weekend was seeing the friendships
and memories that were made — and our members
planning to keep in touch with one another. Thank you to everyone who attended and for making this such a special event. We can't wait until next year!

Take a look through the photo gallery to see fun moments captured throughout the weekend.

August curated cocktail event

“Thanks again for organizing this event! Cheers, and an
amazing job to you and your team!”

— Hyatt Gold Passport member

“Thank you so much for adding us on the list. We had a
great time last night ...”
— Hyatt Gold Passport member

Hyatt RSVP introduced something new with a private art
tour and cocktail event at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco. Drinks were served while our Hyatt Gold Passport members toured local pieces curated by the Luna Rienne Gallery.

Guests got to experience a definitive art collection with
works by David Choong Lee, Damon Soule, Mario
Martinez, Reuben Rude, Erik Otto and Ursula Xanthe
Young. Hearing the stories behind the work and how it was inspired by San Francisco at the turn of the century really brought things to life.

The reception featured Michael Mondavi’s Canvas Wines
developed exclusively for Hyatt, and a selection of hors d'oeuvres specially chosen by Executive Chef Kevin Villalovos. Guests snacked on Cheddar Stuffed Potato Croquettes, Ricotta Meat Balls with House Made Ketchup, Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs and Spicy Fried Pickles with Honey Ranch and more. And for dessert, there was an ice cream sundae station for guests to treat themselves to. Members spent the night mingling and enjoying the spectacular view of San Francisco from the 36th floor lounge.

We hope everyone who attended this unique cultural
event enjoyed it as much as we did. Cheers!

July fashion event

Everyone loved our last Trunk Club event so much that we decided to do it again! Hyatt RSVP invited members to experience this exciting new way to shop for men’s clothing at the recently opened Trunk Club D.C. and the original Trunk Club in Chicago.

Members got to see what makes Trunk Club so great — quality threads accompanied by the beautiful city views and personalized customer service. The stores had their stylists ready to prepare our Hyatt Gold Passport members for any occasion — from a summer style refresh to dapper business wear. And if nothing hit the spot, stylists helped members create a custom shirt to fit their personal style.

In addition to meeting fellow fashion lovers, members got to take part in a fun whiskey tasting to find their favorite flavor. Cocktails and delicious appetizers were also served throughout the evening — like mac and cheese bites, mini goat cheese quesadillas, and roasted vegetable and cheese plate assortments. Everyone also snacked on free form maki with crispy rock shrimp, Japanese rice pearls and sweet chili.

We really enjoyed bringing fellow fashion lovers together to explore this brilliant new approach to men’s fashion once again. And whether members left with a full shopping bag or a new favorite whiskey, it was a night to remember.

July movie screenings

“It was a great experience. My daughter and I had a
wonderful time. Thank you very much to Hyatt for
arranging. I will certainly be on the lookout for more events.”

— Hyatt Gold Passport Member

“Thanks for the treat. I took my son to the show last night.
It was terrific and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Signing up for the Hyatt Visa was one of the best moves I have ever made. Looking forward to more HyattRSVP events in the future.”
— Hyatt Gold Passport Member

It’s a great time to take a break from the summer heat and treat our Hyatt Gold Passport members to cool movie screenings.

Hyatt RSVP invited members from coast to coast to experience two exciting summer blockbusters at private advanced screenings. Members were greeted with a seemingly endless flow of popcorn and drinks, accompanied by 3D glasses to watch the movies come to life.

Members in Washington D.C. and Dallas got to see a group of oddball superheroes come together to save the galaxy, while members in L.A. and San Francisco watched a modern remake of a classic battle between two species.

By the end of the night, everyone was raving about the movies. Who would have thought a raccoon and a tree could become such good friends? And what about that epic battle between humans and apes? That was intense. Everyone left with the experience of a great night — and a movie poster.

A big thanks to everyone who attended our summer movie screenings — it’s always fun to come together for a special experience.

June winemaker dinner

“My husband and I had a wonderful time.
Everything from the food to the company last night
made it one of the more memorable events yet.”

— Sarina H.

“Wonderfully arranged, beautiful venue, genuinely
hospitable staffing. Truly an evening to remember.
Thank you!”
— Howard L.

Hyatt Gold Passport members were in for a treat at our
latest Hyatt RSVP Winemaker Dinner. Members were
invited to a private event at one of the best restaurants
New York City has to offer — Le Bernardin. Not only is
Le Bernardin a Michelin three-star restaurant and the winner
of countless other awards, but it’s home to the incredibly
well known and talented Executive Chef Eric Ripert.

Members gathered in the intimate setting to watch Chef
Ripert create his first awe-inspiring dish — the famous
Tuna Foie Gras Appetizer — during a step-by-step
cooking demonstration. The menu also featured Scallops
in a Brown Butter Dashi, White Tuna poached served with a light red wine Béarnaise, Crispy Black Bass in a Black Truffle Hot & Sour Pot au Feu and wine recommendations from Lisa Valtenbergs of Stonestreet Wines to accompany each dish.

And for dessert, members enjoyed S’mores featuring
Smoked Madagascan Chocolate Crémeux. During dessert, Chef Ripert returned to the dining room to thunderous applause, and graciously thanked guests for enjoying his food. He walked around and chatted with everyone, and was happy to take pictures with members. He was quite the charmer.

By the end of the night, the chatter was so loud, you could
tell friendships had been made. Members were raving
about the food, the wine and the great night. All guests left with an autographed cookbook and a bottle of Stonestreet wine, while some lucky members also took home Hyatt
gift cards. We couldn’t have asked for a better night in the
big city.

June fashion event

“Great to see Chicago’s @TrunkClub partnering
with #HyattRSVP on great event to showcase the
creative energy of Chicago Startup Trunk Club.”

— Hyatt Gold Passport member

Hyatt Gold Passport members got to take in the city lights
at a private rooftop event in June. Hyatt RSVP partnered
with Chicago’s men’s retailer, Trunk Club, to introduce
members to a whole new way of shopping for men’s clothing.

Members enjoyed the ultimate personalized shopping experience that Trunk Club provides, by working with
stylists to have their measurements taken and choosing
from hundreds of patterns and fabrics to create a custom
shirt based on their style. Guests even got to pick out
custom collars to be a part of their personalized dress
shirt.

The event brought people together to celebrate their love
of style — while enjoying delightful hors d’oeuvres such as
colorful free form maki of stuffed shrimp, chipotle mini
tacos, and cilantro marinated shrimp. Attendees also
enjoyed the best Macallan whiskeys on the market, with an on-site Macallan expert at their disposal.

We hope that all guests had a great time exploring Trunk Club’s modern approach to fashion. This is just another way we wanted to treat our Hyatt Gold Passport members to personalized service.

April winemaker dinners

“Dinner and wine pairing were amazing. Would
definitely attend another.”
— Chris

“Really enjoyed the experience. Fantastic food and
wine at an unbeatable location.”
— James D.

What better way to get to know a fellow traveler than to go on a culinary adventure together? Hyatt RSVP invited
Hyatt Gold Passport members to do just that with a fun and local dining and wine pairing right here in our hometown of Chicago at the Purple Pig.

The restaurant's open kitchen layout made members feel like they were right in the heart of the magic. And not long after members arrived, they were already toasting sparkling wine and Chardonnay as if they were old friends.

The culinary creations of Chef Jimmy Bannos Jr. combined with the featured wines from both Rodney Strong Vineyards and the Davis Bynum winery made the night deliciously unforgettable. And the tableside chat with the chef and Wine Educator Robert Larsen didn’t hurt, either.

Members got to enjoy exquisitely plated Monkfish with Lentils, Confit of Turkey Wing with Crispy Lentils, Agrodolce and Pomegranate and Honey Glazed Rib Tips with Cauliflower and Mint.

The cherry on top of the evening was a delicious Chocolate Mousse Tart with Hazelnut Crust. We’d say the night was a great success!

We reserved theaters in Chicago and New York, and invited Hyatt Gold Passport members to attend private sneak peek screenings of a highly anticipated movie release. Guests eagerly arrived to this 3D action packed film — ready to watch their favorite superhero fight crime. Many children got into the theme of the movie and came in costume. No movie would be complete without popcorn, so we provided complimentary snacks and drinks during the movie. This is just another fun way we like to treat our members.

February winemaker dinners

“Lovely evening in a delightful atmosphere.”
— Earle & Sharon L.

“Dinner, wines, and service were awesome. The value was incredible.” — Leslie J.

Hyatt RSVP invited Hyatt Gold Passport members to unique dining and wine pairing events in San Francisco and Los Angeles as part of our Winemaker Dinner series. Tableside conversations with the chefs and winemakers at each venue transformed these dinners into truly memorable moments for our members.

Quince: San Francisco
Located in a historically landmarked brick and timber building in the Jackson Square neighborhood, this famed 2-Michelin Star restaurant served as the perfect venue for this event.

Members had the opportunity to mix & mingle while enjoying Benovia wine and a great sampling of hors d’oeuvres before being seated for the main, multi-course dining experience.

Grand Chef Michael Tusk, the 2011 James Beard Foundation award winner for “Best Chef: Pacific” piqued our guests’ taste buds by detailing the culinary masterpieces he created exclusively for this event — Maine Lobster, Tortelli Ripieni Di Tres Fantasia and Sonoma Liberty Farm Duck with faro, wild mushrooms and nettle flan. Each entrée was accompanied by a small-lot premium wine pairing from Benovia Winery, located in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley.

For the finishing touch, a sinfully delicious Sicilian Pistachio dessert featuring Guanaja chocolate, coffee and Tahitian vanilla was served.

Providence: Los Angeles
This sleek Hollywood hot spot and James Beard Foundation multi-award nominated dining destination opened its doors to our members for an entertaining evening of fine cuisine and wine pairings from Inman Family Wines, one of Sonoma County’s renowned wineries.

The evening began with members getting to know one another during a welcome reception, where butlers roamed the room offering an inspired selection of hors d’oeuvres. Two wine bars were also set up so members could taste blends of three small-lot wines.

For the main culinary adventure, three uniquely plated starter courses were served, each with a paired wine. Guest winemaker Kathleen Inman shared how each wine was carefully selected to accentuate the flavor of the menu items.

Prior to the main course, Providence’s Executive Chef Michael Cimarusti came out to personally welcome our members and describe the culinary sensations he was about to present. Exquisitely plated Scallop Sashimi, Wild Maine Lobster and Liberty Farms Duck Breast entrees were soon served and savored along with paired Russian River Valley wines.

To top off the evening, guests enjoyed a delicious dessert of Chocolate Caramel Entremets and took home a signed menu and a wine stopper.
