Tesla Motors recently announced that its first premium electric car, the Model S, has driven one billion miles in just three years. As the company pointed out, that’s the equivalent to about 4,000 trips to the moon, and more importantly, saved about 570,000 tons of CO2 emissions compared with driving an average car over the same distance.
To celebrate this milestone, Hyatt Gold Passport members were invited to test drive and experience the electric car at the Hyatt Regency Austin.
Upon arrival, members got to see how easy the Model S is to charge, how safe it is to drive, and how well the car performs on the road. Members had an amazing time behind the wheel of the groundbreaking automobile.
Thanks to everyone who attended the event and helped get the ball rolling toward two billion miles.
